21 Birthday Wishlist

I am so sorry I have been gone for so long, but working full time, having to do three uni assignments and actually having a life is starting to take its toll on me. I seem to just come home from my placement and spend all night YouTube videos or writing assignments - I don't know why I'm moaning as I chose to compete an extra Digital Marketing diploma with the CIM whilst I'm on my placement.

Anyway moving on..... As it's my 21st birthday soon I thought I would write a wish list of everything I am lusting over and will most probably buy with my birthday money. As I am going to Florida just after my birthday (but technically for my birthday) most of my presents from my mum will be purchased there, instead of doing a post on 'what I want for my birthday', I thought it would be a good idea to show you what I will be purchasing with the money I receive.

Most of the items below are fashion related, I will be purchasing all of my beauty products in America so I thought I would leave that for another post.

Mac Taupe Lipstick

MAC Taupe lipstick and Spice lip liner are slowly starting to become my new everyday lip combination. The lipstick itself is a muted reddish-taupe/brown with a matte finish. You all should know by now how much I love a matte lip. 

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer

I finally caved into the Mary-Lou Manizer hype and I do not regret it one bit! It's everything everyone has already said it would be and more. Honestly, I don't think I will ever find another highlighter quite as amazing as this - and for roughly £18 I think this is a bargain! £18? A bargain? Why would you say this? Well... the buttery textured powder blends invisibly into the complexion leaving behind an amazing glow to the cheeks. It is extremely pigmented, build-able and gives of the amazing Kardashion-esque glow that everyone wants in a highlighter with just one swipe. I don''t understand how I have only just caved and made the purchase. 

I think it might be time to say bye bye to my beloved Soft and Gentle and hello to Mary-Lou.

Mac Lipstick Collection

Mac lipsticks are my weakness - if I am ever in Mac, I will most likely come out with a new lipstick or liner. I am slowly trying to build my Mac lipstick collection, in the space of a year I have collected 9 lipsticks, that's nearly a new lipstick every month! Mac have the best colour range and I fall in love with a new shade every time I enter the store - I am currently obsessing over brown/neutral shades, my next purchasing being either 'stone' or 'persistence'. 

1 Outfit, 3 Ways

Some of you may have seen from previous posts that I am obsessed with trousers at the minute, they are my love. I've started wearing them for work, during the day when I'm out with friends and even for evenings as well. I personally think they make you look super sophisticated, womanly and really put together. I thought I would share with you how I style one outfit in 3 different ways - for work, for dinner, to go shopping.

Over the past few months I've learnt that I don't care what people think about the way I dress or how I style my make up, if I feel confident and comfortable that's all that matters. I am trying to slowly adapt my wardrobe to feel more "grown up" and sophisticated, but to still show my 20 year old self through the clothes. That's why I've put together this look, to show you how you can style one quite sophisticated outfit and shape it to match any occasion.

Updated Make up Routine

Recently, I have definitely re-discovered my love for make up, I forgot how different you can feel when you wear it. I've definitely been going through a dark patch in my life, so I have made it my New Years resolution to change my style, try to wear make up as often as I can, and to generally just make more of an effort with my appearance. What better way to bring in the New Year than by sharing with you my updated everyday make up routine.

Autumn/Winter Coats

Coats are a huge obsession of mine this Autumn/Winter, I am personally moving away from the traditional black winter coat and leaning more towards the mustards, greens and nudes, I am also a huge fan of faux fur coats. Zara coats and jackets this year are incredible, no matter what trend you are following or what style of coat you are after they will have it. Topshop is definitely a close second. I thought I would share with you which coats that I think are definitely going to become popular with the public this season.

My Current Obsession: Trousers

My most recent obsession is purchasing trousers, or shall I say dreaming of all the trousers that I want to purchase. Trousers are such a staple piece to have in your wardrobe as they can be paired:

• super chilled with a pair of trainers and a crop top
• for a night out with some heels/heeled boots 
• or for work with a cami top and some loafers

I though't I'd share with you a little wishlist of trousers that I am lusting over. Once I have more of a trouser collection, I will be doing a 'how I style trousers' post so keep your eyes out for that.
